The dynamics of the highly excited planar carbonyl sulfide molecule (OCS) is studied using method of Fast Lyapunov Indicators. The method allows to distinguish strongly chaotic, weakly chaotic, and regular motions. It gives a good insight into intramolecular dynamics of this multidimensional system using pictures of the phase space analogous to Poincare sections for the 2D systems. The evolution of the phase space for the energies below and at the dissociation threshold is observed and the main resonant zones are localized. We combine the stability analysis with a periodic orbit search.
