Topics of Research Interests
- Intermolecular Forces Determination of intermolecular potentials through analytic theoretical calculations and inversion of measured thermodynamic and transport properties.
- Statistical Mechanics and Kinetic Theories Development of analytic solutions of kinetic equations for transport and dynamic properties of bulk matter.
- Stochastic Processes and Nonequilibrium Thermodynamics Development of thermodynamic theory for hydrodynamic and chemical systems at steady state away from equilibtium based on properties of the solution of stochastic equations.
- Simulations of Molecular Motion The above studies are supported by calculations of physical properties through equilibrium and nonequilibrium molecular simulations.
Systems of practical interest consist of ions moving in gases under the action of electromagnetic fields (weakly ionized plasma), as well as general hydrodynamic and nonlinear chemical systems at steady state.
